In the early 2000s, we realized there was a disparate gap between the formal learning one had and the applied knowledge one needed in the industrial and technical sectors.

Therefore, integrating formal learning and real-world skills with applicable knowledge in the workplace was a fundamental need to be addressed. But how would we do it?


iKnowledge ― which stands for "integrated knowledge" ― was founded in 2008 with the goal of improving this situation. iKnowledge aimed to provide a service to businesses to not just train their people, but also to increase productivity, minimise errors, and create a more empowered workforce.


Based on our founder's background and training as an engineer, and his partner's experience in training and marketing, iKnowledge's first focused on high-level industrial and technical training courses.


Operating from a home office, it was several months before we were able to hire our first staff ― several of whom are still with us and are now senior members of the team!


It was a tough first year. However, through sheer grit and hard work, the team was duly (and very thankfully) rewarded ― iKnowledge achieved its first 7-figure revenue target.


Since the inception of iKnowledge, we have expanded our initially small offerings to now encompass more than 800 technical and management training courses that cater to over 30 different industries. Our services also include consultation and event management.


With a collective team of more than 90 employees, a network of over 220 trainers & partners in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, China, India, US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, and  South Africa, we reached over 4,600 unique clients, and organized trainings of more than 84,000 delegates from across the globe.


In 2014, iKnowledge received the Best Training Provider Award by Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources.

In 2018, we celebrate a milestone in our history ― we're ten! To reflect this journey, and as we continue to expand our operations to serve a larger international community, we are rebranding.


From August 2017, iKnowledge is IK Academy.

Have a coffee, take a break. Hold a meeting, throw a party. Or conduct a training session. There's a place at IK Academy for all those activities.

At the IK Academy headquarters in Malaysia, we understand that personal space is a luxury when one needs it. This is why we have created THE FLOOR, a designated space for Team IK, as well as IK partners and clients.

Covering 2,660 sq ft, THE FLOOR is spacious, well-appointed, and customizable to suit every need. It can accommodate up to 300 people in a theatre-style setting, or 150 people in a classroom setting.



Creating lasting relationships and ensuring that our customers receive the best experience of our services is a top priority at IK Academy. This is why we have built an amazing network of clientele from all over the world, who have entrusted us with the needs of their organizations. We thank each and every one of our clients who have supported us from day one, and who continue to inspire us to do better.


Since its inception, IK Academy is proud to be affiliated with the following professional organizations and institutes. We continue to uphold the highest standards of practice and conduct as a training provider to reflect the reputation and guiding principles of our most esteemed affiliates.

In addition to offering certification programs that are verified and approved by our affiliates, IK Academy also partners with them to organise various certified courses and training programs.
