Power Quality Symposium 2010 - Achievement, Issues and Challenges in Power Quality Standards & Regulations in Malaysia
Power Quality Symposium was held to bring together power quality experts to discuss significant innovations, technologies and policies related to power quality.
Poor power quality can dramatically increase the cost of doing business which may be counted in hundreds of billion dollars worldwide. For many businesses, the cost of poor power quality is higher than the electricity bill. The results are lost production, equipment damage, idling personnel, data loss, revenue postponed, negative impact on cash-flow, loss of goodwill from customers and possibly even loss of market share.
The Power Quality Symposium 2010 was held to bring together power quality experts to discuss the most recent and significant innovations, technologies and policies regarding power quality.
It was a two-day conference dedicated to provide cost-effective, highly specialized education and learning through industry-wide forum and power quality seminars. It is jointly organized by the Center of Electrical Energy System (CEES), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on behalf of SIRIM Power Quality Technical Committee and Asia iKnowledge.
